Staff
Pastor - Brett Beasley

Brother Brett has been the pastor at Second Baptist since 1999. Before coming to Second Baptist, he pastored and served on staff in churches in Texas. He holds a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor degree from Southern Illinois University. A native of Southern Illinois, Brother Brett was raised on a farm. He and his wife Phoebe live in West Frankfort and have two children, Ellen and David.
Children's Director - Phoebe Beasley
Phoebe serves in number of capacities in the life of the church, and holds a staff position directing the children’s ministry. Her primary focus is on being a pastor’s wife and a mother. She holds a Masters of Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor degree from Murray State University. Phoebe is also a native of Southern Illinois.
Pastoral Assistant - Tyler Looper

Brother Tyler came on staff at Second Baptist early in 2008. He is currently working toward a Bachelors degree from Luther Rice University. Tyler’s is preparing for a calling to full-time pastoral ministry. As pastoral assistant, he primarily oversees evangelism, youth/family ministry, and pastoral care. He and his wife Lacey are natives of Texas, and have an infant daughter named Abigail. They live in West Frankfort.
Minister of Music - Danny Schnarr

Brother Danny has served as the music minister at Second Baptist since 1989 and as the ministry coordinator since 2006. He has served as music director in other churches in Illinois. He is a lifetime native of Southern Illinois, and lives in Opdyke with his wife Nancy, and son Kyle.
Secretary - Pat Doty

Pat is a longtime member of Second Baptist, and has served on staff as secretary since 1989. She is a native of Southern Illinois. She has a daughter Tracy in Canada and a son Jay in Florida, along with two grandsons (Taylor and Max) in Canada.
Custodian - Carol Baine

Carol has served Second Baptist since the church moved into its new building in 2002. She is a native of Southern Illinois and is married to Ray. They have one son, Greg, and one granddaughter, Lauren. |
