Church Life

Corporate Worship

We place a great deal of emphasis upon the corporate worship service. Our services emphasize engaging the worshiper with truth. Our music reflects our desire for rich doctrinal truth. We sing hymns and choruses both new and old, and always emphasize doctrinal content. We believe music should magnify the Lord and prepare the hearer for the preaching of God’s Word. We place emphasis upon prayer and public reading of Scripture. We believe preaching is the highest form of worship. Our pastor preaches expository sermons, almost exclusively on a book by book, verse by verse basis.

Children’s & Youth Ministry

Our desire as a church is to be a support to parents in the raising of Godly young people. We do not see ourselves as the primary teachers in the life of a child. We do provide teaching ministry, and other activities that assist parents, as well as provide necessary guidance to the children in our community who do not come from Godly homes. We desire to teach our young people the absolute truth of God’s Word. We strive to help our children to understand their growing role in the life of the Body of Christ. We encourage them to be involved in missions and outreach. Youth and children are given opportunities for spiritual growth through carefully selected camps and retreats.

Music

Our music ministry gives opportunity for anyone who desires to sing in the choir, or be a part of an instrumental band. Our choir is an important part of worship, and often provides cantatas and special singing.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School is basically age graded. There are mixed classes for adults as well as classes for women, and men. Our adult curriculum is devoted through going through the Bible one book at a time. Our children’s Sunday School uses a curriculum from Desiring God, and from birth through 8th grade provides a systematic study of Scripture and its doctrines.

Discipleship Training

We emphasize the training of disciples through our formal Discipleship Training. We offer classes for all ages. We offer more in depth studies. We also do new believer training, as well as mentoring of women and leadership training for men.
